Concours National des Crémants de France 2015

Veuve Ambal wins 5 medals:

1 gold medal for Sa cuvée Sélection blanc Brut

4 silver medals for its grande cuvée, its millésimé, its Brut Prestige, and its crémant de Domaine Gracieux Chevalier.

On Friday May 29, the Fédération Nationale des Producteurs et Élaborateurs de Crémant organized the 24th Concours National des Crémants. This year, AOC Crémant de Loire hosted the prestigious competition, along with delegations from the 7 other Crémant appellations.

Each year, one appellation is responsible for organizing the competition, which is original in that it rotates from region to region. After the Jura in 2014, this year the Loire hosted in Montrichard, Touraine, and also celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Crémant de Loire appellation, the oldest with Burgundy.

The 205 members of a professional jury tasted the 622 samples submitted to the competition and awarded 200 medals, including 102 gold, 84 silver and 14 bronze.
