VEUVE AMBAL is a
family-run wine company established over 100 years ago in the heart of the
Veuve Ambal is now the largest producer of Crémant de Bourgogne. The talent and dedication of its team has enabled it to become the market leader and specialist of this Appellation in France.
It was established towards the end of the 19th century in Rully, the birthplace of its founder, Marie Ambal. This pioneering woman developed the reputation of sparkling wines from Burgundy far beyond the region's borders.
Today, the company is run by her descendant, Eric Piffaut. His son, Aurélien, is also involved in the business. Together, they use their expertise and knowledge to continue the family tradition of producing high quality wines. As a result of the success of its wines, a production site was built in 2005, near to the Beaune region and the A6 motorway.
The quality level of VEUVE AMBAL's wines has always been an institution. Its impressive list of accomplishments in the most prestigious competitions can be attributed to its policy of continuously improving the quality and safety of its wines. Its state of the art production facilities are IFS and BRC certified. Morever, some of our Cuvées are from Organic Farming (AB certification).
With 250 ha of vineyards, VEUVE AMBAL counts itself amongst the major owner-producers in the Burgundy region.
Its domaines, situated across 6 different terroirs, are managed using sustainable methods. This is an indication of Veuve Ambal's environmentally friendly and ecologically sustainable approach to development.
Veuve Ambal is not just a specialist producer of Crémant de Bourgogne. It is also a group composed of renowned Burgundian sparkling wine producers including Rivarose since 1998, André Delorme since 2007 and Prosper Maufoux since 2010.
Veuve Ambal also makes its quality and safety-focussed production facilities available to other wineries.
